How Does It Work?

On discovery of vehicle theft (or verification of vehicle theft after an alert for unauthorised vehicle movement) the owner must report the theft to the police and obtain a crime reference number, and then contact the Cobra 24 hour control to activate the stolen vehicle tracking procedure. This basic procedure applies for all systems offering stolen vehicle tracking.  

1. An Alert is sent to the Cobra Control Room
who in response contact you to confirm wether
the alert is genuine or not.

2. Activation of the system and tracking of your
vehicle begins using the latest GPS and GSM
technologies.

3. Contact with the local Police Authorities is made.

4. Pin-Piont positional information is relayed
to police to facilitate rapid recovery of your
vehicle.

With all the benefits of CobraTrak Q, the new CobraTrak Q attivo gives you the further advantage of being able to see precisely where your vehicle is at any given time, across Europe.

Owners can track, trace and interact with their vehicle online, using a new web application. Pin-point street level positioning with the ability to review exactly where the vehicle has been. For extra visibility and reassurance, the owner can receive positional updates direct to their mobile or even via fax. Other functions include time and distance tracking and a self-setting transport mode to avoid unnecessary alerts if the vehicle is being transported.

A subsctiption fee of £169 Per Year is Payable to CobraTrak.
N.B. CobraTrak Q attivo system also incurs small ongoing usage charges for communications sent to and from the vehicle such as requesting a position on the vehicle, 35p per poll, you are given £10.00 of credit to start you off in the first year. You will be informed if your credit falls below £3.00. If you allow your credit to run out the system simply reverts to CobraTrak Q.
CobraTrak Q is fully transferable from vehicle to vehicle (By approved technicians).
